Elizabeth Betsy DeVos is known all over the world and has been praised for being a good leader, an advocate, an innovator and a disruptor. She has dedicated her life to smoothen the road in areas such as education, politics and business. In that way, she has created a good environment that is easier to thrive. Betsy was once the Chairman of the Windquest Group- a private investment and management group located in Michigan with a varied consumer product and service selection. In the education sector, she has done quite a lot; she chaired the American Federation for Children, which is a school choice advocacy group, spearheaded the fight to change America’s education system, nurtured fresh educational opportunities in Michigan and as well served on the board of the Foundation for Excellence in Education. As a result, many children were mentored and are now in their parents’ school of choice. DeVos has been involved in politics since 1976 when she was a volunteer for President Gerald R. Ford. She also served as the chairperson of the Michigan Republican Party for four terms and on the Republican National Committee from 1922 to 1998.
Betsy’s philanthropy efforts are impeccable. In 1989, Betsy and her husband initiated the Dick and Betsy Devos Family Foundation as a way of giving back to the society on the basis of justice, leadership, education, arts and community. She once had an interview where she revealed a lot about her life. When asked about what she felt about education, she expressed her optimism and joy in that education choice was being enjoyed, specifically among Latinos. She also explained how her support in educating children was because she felt the burden of parents who worked tirelessly but still could not raise enough money to pay for their children’s tuition. She and her husband, therefore, decided to help needy children, and that led to the growth of their foundation. Read more on Los Angeles Times.
Betsy Devos described her biggest success as the Florida project. The State had a tax-credit scholarship scheme through which citizens enjoyed educational choice and as well had supported over 50,000 students attending their family’s choice of school. This has led to Florida being highly coveted due to its success. She also gave credit to the recent advances in both Louisiana and Indiana. The two states had come up with a way to serve almost one million students, which was a boost to the educational choice. When asked about auspicious education reform tactics, she spoke about eradicating the existing mindset that students attended schools according to their family status. Betsy DeVos promised to fight for a legal framework with more freedom and, thus, create a healthy environment for the children.

The Coat Hook Deaths
The coat hook deaths are a series of seemingly unrelated, but eerily similar creepy stories, involving deaths of young children in mysterious circumstances. In many cases, children or young adults were found dead, hanging from a coat hook or similar fixture.
Cases include a child found dead on a train in Kanpur, India, in February 2009; a girl in Chicago found in a home closet in February 2009; a boy found in a gym bathroom in Austin in January 2008; a 9-year-old boy in Texas who hanged himself in a school bathroom in 2010; a 6th-grade boy found in a school bathroom in February 2014; and a 4-year-old found strangled on a coat hook in a thrift store changing room in March 2017 (believed to be a freak accident).
The Devil’s Bible
Known officially to scholars as Codex Gigas, the Devil’s Bible is a manuscript presumed to have been created in the 12th century in what is now the Czech Republic. The text includes a complete copy of the Christian Bible and other historical and mystical writings.
Legend has it that a monk who had broken his religious vows was to be punished by being walled up inside the monastery. In order to avoid his punishment, the monk promised to create the handwritten Bible. He sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the supernatural ability to complete the book in a short time. The book can now be seen by the public at a museum in Sweden. The images inside are definitely some of oldest creepiest pictures found on the internet.
George Soros is renowned across the globe for being a philanthropic billionaire. He was born in the country of Hungary in 1930. His legal last name when he was born was originally Schwartz. However, his parents changed their last names to avoid the anti-Semitic hatred of the Nazis. At one point, George’s father purchased false identification papers so they would be identified as Christians to protect them from the Nazis. The name Soros is actually an Esperanto word which means “will soar.” (Esperanto is a language designed to cross all borders and was invented in the late 1800’s.) George managed to escape the Nazi occupation when he was still a teenager and fled to London in the 1940s to acquire a better life. Read more about George’s life story at biography.com.
While in London, George undertook course in economics, studying at the London School of Economics. While in college, George was exposed to the ideology that society can only grow if it is free and respects all citizens’ rights. This ideology profoundly impacted George’s outlook on life, and he earned his degree in 1952. He soon placed his educational knowledge to work at Singer and Friedlander, a brokerage firm in London. There, George learned the practice of buying one country’s securities and selling them to a different country, for profit gain. Within only four years, George decided to board a ship and sail to America, specifically to New York, and begin a vocation of financial interests in 1956. In 1961 George Soros became a citizen of the United States. He began working for several Wall Street firms, and by 1973 George initiated his own business for hedge funds, called the Soros Fund. He later changed the name to the Quantum Fund, and later still, the Quantum Fund Endowment. By the late 1970’s, he had begun to leverage his wealth to help others, through a variety of humanitarian work. As of 2012, Mr. Soros has contributed more than seven billion dollars through his charity work at Open Society Foundation, which he founded in 1984. George Soros is now respected for being one of the richest people on the planet. Visit Project Syndicate to learn more about George.
The Open Society Foundation’s goal is to increase public health initiatives, fund educational endeavors, and prevent social injustices, to name only a few. George Soros is an advocate for fighting the Unites States propaganda program called the “war on drugs.” Mr. Soros believes that this so-called war is only an attempt to extort money from the poor by imprisoning them for marijuana, a plant that is used by more people than not. George has seen the positive effects that marijuana has on those who suffer from seizures and a variety of other health problems.
Brazil is a member of BRICS, the emerging market consortium that came into being after the 2008 financial debacle. The members of BRICS are Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. All of those countries, except India, are in recession mode now, but China and India are still producing decent GDP numbers on eleicoesepolitica.com. Russia has other issues to resolve before other countries will do business with the Red State. But India is a good example of what the tech industry can do for a country. India has one of the best GDP growth rates in the world. But Brazil is not that lucky.
The largest economy in Latin America is dealing with the worst recession in more than 90 years. Commodity prices, exports, and Brazil’s currency have taken a thrashing for the last five years, and businessmen like the CEO of the building supply manufacturer, Eucatex, Flavio Maluf, are trying to reverse the economic tide in Brazil. Flavio Maluf was quoted recently when he talked about the Brexit vote and the possibility of a bilateral trade agreement with the U.K.
Britain’s exit from the European Union is officially in progress. Theresa May sent Article 50 to the president of the EU Council, and that eight-page letter is the official start of the exit process. Flavio Maluf and other prominent business leaders in Brazil want Brazil’s new President Temer to close a trade deal with Britain, but implementing a new deal could take two years. The U.K. has £5.1 billion of bilateral trade and investment deals in place in Brazil, but Brazil exports less than two percent of its total exports to Britain at http://www.segs.com.br/seguros/34138-saiba-com-flavio-maluf-como-diminuir-os-custos-tributarios-de-uma-empresa.html. Capitalists in Britain have their eyes on the crops, minerals, energy, tech, and the housing sectors of the Brazilian economy. The Brits see investment and import opportunities in those markets. But they also see export opportunities on as well. The new middle class in Brazil want more imported products from Britain and the U.S., but the high duties and antiquated import laws challenge businesses in other countries. A new Trade agreement and Temer’s government overhaul should resolve those issues in the future.
