The Coat Hook Deaths
The coat hook deaths are a series of seemingly unrelated, but eerily similar creepy stories, involving deaths of young children in mysterious circumstances. In many cases, children or young adults were found dead, hanging from a coat hook or similar fixture.
Cases include a child found dead on a train in Kanpur, India, in February 2009; a girl in Chicago found in a home closet in February 2009; a boy found in a gym bathroom in Austin in January 2008; a 9-year-old boy in Texas who hanged himself in a school bathroom in 2010; a 6th-grade boy found in a school bathroom in February 2014; and a 4-year-old found strangled on a coat hook in a thrift store changing room in March 2017 (believed to be a freak accident).
The Devil’s Bible
Known officially to scholars as Codex Gigas, the Devil’s Bible is a manuscript presumed to have been created in the 12th century in what is now the Czech Republic. The text includes a complete copy of the Christian Bible and other historical and mystical writings.
Legend has it that a monk who had broken his religious vows was to be punished by being walled up inside the monastery. In order to avoid his punishment, the monk promised to create the handwritten Bible. He sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the supernatural ability to complete the book in a short time. The book can now be seen by the public at a museum in Sweden. The images inside are definitely some of oldest creepiest pictures found on the internet.
