Recently, an interview was conducted with Dr. Saad Saad. This interview contained a lot of information about his early life, and as he grew up how he would decide that he wanted to be a pediatric surgeon. Retiring after 47 years, there was a lot in the interview that could be easily shared and utilized in the years to come by everyone in this life.
Dr. Saad Saad’s story all started when he was born in Palestine in the 40’s. Growing up near the West Bank with what some would consider a lower middle class family gave him no privileges. Having been relocated and led to work in construction in the hot sun in Kuwait, he quickly discovered that working outdoors was not ideal for him. This simple yet profound experience of getting overheated encouraged him to consider becoming a doctor.
His studies in medicine eventually led to him studying to become a pediatric surgeon. One of the great life lessons that Dr. Saad Saad can teach us about life is not to accept anything less than what you desire for your life. His second life lesson that everyone can learn from, is to never put off something that you can accomplish today. It is all in good wisdom, and it’s something that he lived by as a physician.
For Dr. Saad, he lived by this when it came to improving upon things for his patients. When he had an idea he would work on it at that moment. He didn’t put it off, and as a result, he was able to improve the lives of his patients faster. Additionally, he also grew in popularity within his field.
Dr. Saad Saad knew that whatever he set out to accomplish he would. He stood by everything that he learned in life, and he passed this onto his children, as well as to all he worked with during the course of his career as a pediatric surgeon. Although most physicians are dedicated to their field, the hard work doesn’t end once you become a physician. Dr. Saad Saad continued to improve upon what he already learned, and he made it his mission to share that with others. Learn more : https://www.doximity.com/pub/saad-saad-md
