Dr. David Samadi (otherwise known as a celebrity doctor) has carved a niche for himself as the go-to medical practitioner regarding urologic diseases and robotic surgery. Presently, he is the chairman of urology and chief of robotic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. David Samadi became known as a celebrity doctor owing to his frequent appearance on television and radio, active social media presence and the internet, and his publications are regularly published in leading medical journals such as the “World Journal of Urology.’’ Recently, he cemented his internet presence by initiating a show, “Sunday Housecall with Dr. David Samadi.” The program will not only stream live on his website, samadimd.com but also leading social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Social media users are currently benefiting and will continue to reap from Dr. David Samadi’s program aired every Sunday starting at 12:30 on the East Coast.
Sunday Housecall with Dr. David Samadi is all about the medical field and creating awareness not only to patients but also the general public. When the program debuted in September, Dr. David Samadi was open to the idea of inviting other qualified physicians and wellness experts to be part of the show. The guests would enrich the discussions and answer emails and calls from viewers as well. Of course, it is impossible to answer all the questions during the live broadcast, but Dr. Samadi’s program catered to that problem. Dr. Samadi and his guests respond to viewers even after the show.
Dr. Samadi’s educational background and experience make him a qualified host of such a sensitive show. He chose to specialize in robotic surgery applied to diagnose and treat urological diseases such as prostate cancer and kidney diseases. To this end, Dr. Samadi attended France’s Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil where he learned from physicians who have perfected the technique.
He would later return to the U.S and begin practice at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. David Samadi then proceeded to practice his newly acquired medical skills at a facility owned by Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. At the center, Dr. Samadi was appointed the vice chairman of the department of urology. Also, he was tasked with overseeing minimally invasive surgery procedures and as the head robotics. He leveraged his new position to gain practical skills before proceeding to Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Samadi is determined to streamline urological and proctological procedures leveraging his experience in robotic surgery.
